In this holy month of Ramadan, people throughout the Middle East, including the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are experiencing the much needed rejuvenation. Ramadan marks the ninth month of Islamic calendar and is a major event used to reinforce morals, ethics, and the core Islamic values in each individual.
The Muslim community during this period has to refrain from consuming food, drinking liquids, smoking and engaging in sexual relationships. However, it does not sideline entertainment, especially if you live in Saudi Arabia.
The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has come up with a new ideology of maintaining balance between entertainment and the responsibilities to follow. GEA is now supporting events across the Kingdom, introducing children and teenagers to the culture, customs and traditions. This implies not only the values, but also fun while learning them.
GEA in the Kingdom also represents Saudi’s vision, which is now focusing on more than just oil and taking its economy forward. Interestingly, all this has been made possible courtesy, Mohammad bin Salam, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, who has changed the way people think about the country.
Apart from the initiative taken by GEA, people all over Saudi Arabia also enjoy fun activities such as making a Ramadan bookmark for the Quran, creating a Ramadan Advent calendar, which is a great way keeping children excited throughout the month, and making charity jars, which is another great way of incorporating values in the children of contributing to the society.
This holy month has a lot to offer and especially, when you witness everything that happens in Saudi Arabia, the happiness only multiples. Adding, the entertainment industry in Saudi Arabia is certainly on boon and Ramadan for the same cause isn’t left a lot behind.
